January 19, 2010 Although I put this on the back burner for a long time, I now have a working prototype that we've been testing. I'd like to get others to try it and give me feedback about their use of it, so if you're interested please e-mail me. As most of you know, I’ve been around the chatroom circles for a good many years. In that time, I’ve watched many people post images and it occurred to me that most people post from a variety of websites. That spawned a thought that there should be an easier way to do this rather than having multiple browser windows open or a bunch of links listed in MS Word or something. As such, for the last little while, I’ve been working on creating a Windows program that would do just this – make it easier to post images from any website. This program will create thumbnail images that you can see and click on to select, then it will create the HTML code for you and copy it to your computer’s clipboard – ready for you to post in a chatroom. If this piques your interest at all, I have put together two Flash screencasts here:
The program will be free for everyone once I feel sure that it's ready, so if you're interested in testing it, please do - I think you'll like it! Just e-mail me at frank@picsbyob.com, and I'll e-mail you back with a link. I really think you'll like this ... have a look and let me know what you think! |
